Petrokimia Gresik Receives TOP CSR 2023 #Stars 5 Award for Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Governance

Petrokimia Gresik, a leading Agroindustry Solution company and a member of the Pupuk Indonesia, is honored once again with the prestigious TOP CSR AWARD for its excellent Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) governance, achieving the highest recognition, the TOP CSR 2023 #Stars 5. The symbolic award is graciously accepted by Jogi Krisdianto, Senior Vice President (SVP) of General Affairs at Petrokimia Gresik, representing the Board of Directors in Jakarta. In recognition of this achievement, Dwi Satriyo Annurogo, the President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, is also reappointed as the TOP LEADER on CSR Commitment 2023.

Expressing his thoughts on this accomplishment, Dwi Satriyo emphasizes that CSR is a manifestation of Petrokimia Gresik's commitment to progress alongside the community, fostering a harmonious relationship. The company acknowledges that its 51-year business sustainability is intricately linked to the support of the local community, coexisting directly with Petrokimia Gresik.

"In practice, Petrokimia Gresik's CSR programs actively involve various community groups, including housewives and the younger generation in the vicinity of the company. The primary spirit behind our CSR initiatives is to empower communities to become self-reliant socially, economically, and environmentally," states Dwi Satriyo.

Petrokimia Gresik's CSR programs are formulated by assessing environmental conditions and community needs, ensuring their tangible and sustainable benefits.

"To ensure tangible benefits, we accompany, monitor, and evaluate each CSR program until the beneficiaries can independently manage them," adds Dwi Satriyo.

One of Petrokimia Gresik's flagship CSR programs contributing to the attainment of Stars 5 is the Literacy Program or Integrated Cattle Farming Environment. This CSR activity optimizes the presence of cattle breeders in Sumbersari Village, Lamongan, by empowering the community from upstream to downstream. It involves building a smart agribusiness ecosystem capable of creating solutions for agricultural and livestock risks through insurance and waste-based savings.

"Literacy also supports the company's sustainability as it involves the utilization of both fertilizer and non-fertilizer products, along with knowledge transfer to the community on utilizing waste as organic planting media," he concludes.

The TOP CSR AWARDS recognize companies with 5-star ratings, evaluated based on the alignment of CSR initiatives with the company's business strategy, the adoption level of CSR policies and programs according to ISO 26000:2010 Social Responsibility, CSR governance system, the adoption level of CSR to the Creating Shared Value (CSV) concept, and the presence of outstanding CSR programs that can serve as examples for other companies. Petrokimia Gresik had previously received the Stars 5 award in the same event in 2022.
