Petrokimia Gresik, a leading Agroindustry Solutions company and a holding member of the Pupuk Indonesia, celebrated its 51st anniversary with a meaningful community outreach initiative. On Thursday, July 13, the company organized a Free Circumcision Event at GOR Tri Dharma Petrokimia Gresik for 100 children from the surrounding community.

Dwi Satriyo Annurogo, the Chief Executive Officer of Petrokimia Gresik, highlighted that the public circumcision event is a vital component of the company's longstanding commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental (CSRE) programs. Since its inception in 1985, Petrokimia Gresik has conducted these free circumcisions, benefiting a total of 8,483 children over the past 38 years.

"Petrokimia Gresik is deeply committed to the well-being of the children of Indonesia, particularly those in our local community. In addition to our focus on education through scholarships and various facilities, we extend our care to children's health through these complimentary circumcision events. We believe that healthy and educated children are the cornerstone of our nation's prosperity," stated Dwi Satriyo.

The circumcision procedures were carried out on a large scale by the medical team from Grha Husada Hospital, an integral part of the Petrokimia Gresik family. The procedures were monitored by skilled surgeons from Grha Husada Hospital to ensure the highest standards of medical care.

In addition to the circumcision, participating children received essential medications, post-circumcision check-ups, and souvenirs, including sarongs and circumcision pants. Petrokimia Gresik also provided transportation allowances for the participants.

Dr. Lukita Hanggraeni, the Head of the Medical Team at Grha Husada Hospital, explained that this year's circumcision event introduced an innovative approach, utilizing the super ring method, eliminating the need for needles or bandages. This technology not only made the process more comfortable for the children but also allowed them to resume their regular activities shortly after the procedure.

"We wanted to ensure that the children could swiftly return to their normal routines, especially with the upcoming academic year. This innovative approach provides a more comfortable experience, and we anticipate positive outcomes," emphasized Dr. Hanggraeni.

Fitri Yuniarti Farida, a parent of one of the circumcision participants, expressed her gratitude and hope for the continuation of Petrokimia Gresik's commitment to organizing these free circumcision programs regularly.

"If Petrokimia Gresik continues these mass circumcision programs in the future, the benefits my child has experienced will undoubtedly be shared by other children in the vicinity. We appreciate the company's dedication to the community," remarked Fitri Yuniarti Farida.

Dwi Satriyo concluded by emphasizing that the free circumcision event aligns with Petrokimia Gresik's ongoing commitment to community development. He acknowledged the company's responsibility to contribute positively to the local community's growth and emphasized the importance of a harmonious relationship.

"Petrokimia Gresik has thrived for more than half a century, thanks to the steadfast support of the local community. Through initiatives like this, we aim to strengthen our harmonious relationship, and we invite ongoing prayers and support for the success of our business operations. Together, we can continue to grow and make meaningful contributions to Gresik and Indonesia," he concluded.
