Petrokimia Gresik once again held an appreciation event for journalistics, which was held in the Petrokimia Media Award (PMA) program for the 23rd year in Gresik, Friday (18/3). At this moment, Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustry Solutions company, member of the Pupuk Indonesia holding, invited all journalists in Gresik Regency to band together in socializing the 2022 subsidized fertilizer policy.

Vice President (VP) of Petrokimia Gresik Corporate Communications, Awang Djohan Bachtiar, said that there are several new policies to allocate subsidized fertilizers in 2022. Either one, the allocation of subsidized fertilizers for fish farmers was abolished by the government.

"Removing subsidized fertilizers for pond farmers is the authority of the government, Petrokimia Gresik is only carrying out the tasks mandated by the government, distributing it according to e-RDKK," said Awang.

Petrokimia Gresik is currently assigned to distribute 5 million tons of solid fertilizer. In detail, 715,665 tons of Urea, 2,052,214 tons of NPK, 541,201 tons of SP-36, 823,475 tons of ZA, and 936,610 tons of organic granules. In addition, Petrokimia Gresik also supplied 1.8 million liters of liquid organic fertilizer.

"The allocation assigned to Petrokimia Gresik is 56% of the total national subsidized fertilizer allocation in 2022, particularly 9,118,057 tons. This means that the task of distributing subsidized fertilizer to Petrokimia Gresik is the largest among other Pupuk Indonesia holding members," said Awang.

Furthermore, he said there is still a gap or difference between farmers' fertilizer needs and subsidized fertilizer allocations. The total need for national farmers for fertilizer reaches 25,580,223, so there is a gap of 16,462,166.

"As a solution, Petrokimia Gresik is preparing non-subsidized fertilizers to meet farmers' fertilizer needs, so that national food security is maintained. Likewise fertilizer for farmers, Dadi can get non-subsidized products," he said.

Meanwhile, during the third quarter of 2021, positive news about Petrokimia Gresik, both in print, online, and television media, increased by 68.31 percent compared to the same period in the previous year.

"Hopefully this collaboration will contribute to national food security and the progress of agriculture in Indonesia," he said.(*/Wildan)
