Petrokimia Gresik Received Six Awards In The "4 Stars" Category For Innovation In The Sector Of Safety

Innovation in the application of Occupational Safety and Health (K3) at Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustrial Solution company and holding member of the Pupuk Indonesia, managed to bring home six awards at once with the "4 Stars" category at the Indonesian Conference &; Competition Occupational Safety and Health (ICCOSH) 2023 in Malang, East Java, recently.

Four of Petrokimia Gresik clusters won these awards, namely the Inovasi Operasional (GIO) SAVE US, Sistem Saran (SS) Angin Segar, SS Dynamic Vortex, and GIO Lingfos. Meanwhile, two groups from Petrokimia Gresik Group won the next two awards, including Warrior and Sulpro.

President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, Dwi Satriyo Annurogo confirmed, Tuesday (30/5) that discipline in implementing K3 and innovation in the field of K3 is one of the implementations of Petrokimia Gresik's commitment to maintain the smooth distribution of subsidized fertilizers to various regions in Indonesia.

"Petrokimia Gresik is a National Vital Object (Obvitnas) that should not stop its business operations because it can affect the stability of the country. So that the application of K3 is a non-negotiable necessity," said Dwi Satriyo.

For information, Petrokimia Gresik in 2023 has the greatest responsibility in distributing subsidized fertilizers among members of the Pupuk Indonesia holding, which is 3,123,354 tons or almost 40 percent of the total subsidized fertilizer allocation allocated by the Government.

Meanwhile, in the field of commercial sales, Dwi Satriyo explained that the application of K3 is an important instrument for Petrokimia Gresik to protect consumers through the availability of quality fertilizers during the season plant. The availability of fertilizer when farmers need it will have an impact on increasing crop yields and farmers' welfare.

"With K3 innovation, Petrokimia Gresik can mitigate potential risks. The company's process in producing quality products for farmers is also increasingly guaranteed," he said.

Finally, Dwi Satriyo revealed that in several K3 programs in the company, Petrokimia Gresik also involves the surrounding community, such as in the implementation of the Bulan K3 some time ago. This aims to create synergistic collaboration with the surrounding community in jointly maintaining national food security.

"K3 awareness is not only built by Petrokimia Gresik for employees but also the surrounding community so that the application of K3 is more optimal," concluded Dwi Satriyo.

Meanwhile, ICC-OSH 2023 is a national-level event to demonstrate excellence in the implementation of the K3 Management System in the era of digitalization. Various state-owned and private companies from all over Indonesia competed to show off the optimal implementation of K3 from each company.
