A total of 12 young diplomats from various close countries visited PT Petrokimia Gresik (PG). This 2019 Friends of Indonesia (FOI) Programme themed Fellowship for Future Ambassadors was welcomed by PG Production Director, I Ketut Rusnaya at Wisma Kebomas, June 24th, 2019. FOI is an annual activity held regularly by the Directorate General of Public Information and Diplomacy Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Republic of Indonesia. This activity, among others, aims to promote Indonesia's economic potential, and national strategic industry, as well as people to people network expansion to government officials of close countries.
During this occasion, young diplomats of 21 close countries were exposed to the development of PG delivered by PG Production Director, I Ketut Rusnaya. PG as a national vital object of industrial sector in Indonesia, and as a subsidiary of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), which is currently transforming towards an agroindustry solution company. They were also invited to a plant tour to take a closer look at factory units and research centers owned by PG.
It is hoped that this visit was able add insight to young diplomats about Petrokimia Gresik, both of PG products and its strategic role for the advancement of agricultural fields. Hartono
