Petrokimia Gresik Invites Thousands of Participants to Join "Green Walk With Bumn" in Pati and Tegal

Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustrial Solutions company and holding member of the Pupuk Indonesia held a Green Walk or “Jalan Sehat” in Central Java more so in Pati and Tegal regencies. This Green Walk was also held in 239 regencies in 15 provinces in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Ministry of SOEs.

Separately, Special Staff III of the Minister of SOEs of the Republic of Indonesia, Arya Sinulingga said that, on this silver anniversary of the Ministry of SOEs, SOE Minister Erick Thohir wanted to celebrate with SOE families throughout Indonesia, the Green Walk activity was held and which was also enlivened by the community.

"Of course, through this activity we want the presence of SOEs to be directly felt throughout Indonesia," he said.

President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, Dwi Satriyo Annurogo said that the Green Walk event held by Petrokimia Gresik involved more than 2,000 people. The details, both in Pati and Tegal districts each involved more than a thousand participants. Through this activity, Petrokimia Gresik together with the Ministry of SOEs are trying to realize "Healthy Indonesian Healthy SOEs".

"Health cannot be underestimated. The health crisis during the Covid-19 pandemic changed the order of life for all of us. At this good moment, in commemoration of the 25th anniversary of the Ministry of SOEs, we invite the residents of Pati and Tegal to promote good physical condition and activity together through Green Walk" said Dwi Satriyo.

This Green Walking program, he added, is one of the activities to keep the body healthy, because health is an important and most valuable point for societal productivity. Without a healthy body, humans will not be able to carry out activities optimally, let alone think creatively and innovatively.

"For this reason, the Green Walk that we hold is an effort by Petrokimia Gresik together with the Ministry of SOEs to maintain the health status of the people of Pati and Tegal," he said.

This BUMN Green Walk is an activity that takes place in a marathon manner in various regions of Indonesia. This program carries the concept of "SOE Torch Relay" from Sabang to Merauke.

"I hope this activity can be a motivation for the community to continue the healthy lifestyle, for optimal productivity," said Dwi Satriyo.

He further explained, to enliven this activity, prizes were also drawn in the form of washing machines, refrigerators, smartphones, gold bars, TVs, and dozens of other consolation prizes for the participants. In addition, Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) bazaars were also enlivened to encourage local MSMEs to be more enthusiastic.

Especially in Pati, Green Walk with SOEs is also filled with blood donation activities and waste collection campaigns. "Participants at the time of the registration are given bags, and during the walk, participants are also invited to pick up garbage. This is an activity that distinguishes Green Walk with SOEs in Pati with other regions," he concluded.
