Petrokimia Gresik With The Ministry of Soes Prepares 4,000 Basic Necessities Ahead Of Ramadan at "People's Market And Msme Bazaar"

Ahead of Ramadan 1444H, Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustrial Solutions company and the holding member of the Pupuk Indonesia held a cheap market packaged in the "People's Market and MSME Bazaar" event at Tri Dharma Stadium, Gresik, East Java, Thursday (2/3). This activity was attended by Special Staff (Stafsus) III of the Minister of SOEs, Arya Sinulingga.

Stafsus III, Minister of SOEs, in his speech, hoped that Petrokimia Gresik could provide greater benefits to the community. "We must be able to provide benefits, including empowering the community around the company. Concerning empowerment, hope that Petrokimia Gresik collaborates with PNM. Petrokimia Gresik will provide training, while PNM will provide capital so that the training that has been obtained before, followed by the business will be able to increase community income " he said.

"Whatever the capital needs of the people of Gresik we will be ready to help, for welfare and reduce the unemployment rate," said Arya.

Separately, the President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, Dwi Satriyo Annurogo said that this activity was a synergy between Petrokimia Gresik and the Ministry of SOEs. The company through this activity also wants to provide solutions for the community in facing price increases on several raw materials, especially ahead of Ramadan like now.

"Ramadan is less than three weeks away. Ahead of the fasting month as it is now, will be accompanied by an increase in food prices in various regions. We want to provide an alternative selling price that is more affordable for rice and other necessities," said Dwi Satriyo.

A total of 4,000 food packages were prepared. The details are 3,500 packages for the community around the company and the remaining 500 for visitors from PT Permodalan Nasional Madani (PNM).

Cheap necessities prepared include 5 kilograms of rice, 1 liter of cooking oil, and 1 kilogram of sugar. The selling price for one basic food package is only Rp. 55.000,-

Meanwhile, in this activity, Petrokimia Gresik also facilitated 50 assisted MSMEs from Gresik Regency. Petrokimia Gresik in running its business not only produces quality products to advance agriculture in Indonesia, through the Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program, but the company also encourages community welfare with the assistance of MSMEs.

"It has become a tradition, the people of Gresik will shop a lot in preparation for Ramadan. This opportunity is what we present for assisted MSME actors," said Dwi Satriyo.

Dwi Satriyo added that this activity is in line with the direction of the Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir to focus the TJSL Budget on the environment, MSME assistance, and education. As is known, in assisting MSMEs, Petrokimia Gresik has a program called Mitra Bangga (Mangga) and has helped hundreds of MSMEs spread across various regions.

"This MSME bazaar is also one of the mentoring programs from companies for promotion and sales facilities. Through this activity, their products can be known and make it easier to build business networks," he said.

Meanwhile, Assistant I of Gresik Regency Government, Suyono, who was also present representing the Regent of Gresik, appreciated the role of Petrokimia Gresik for contributing a lot to the Gresik community so far. "Cheap necessities food activities, MSME exhibitions such as during yesterday's anniversary, health and education assistance are often carried out by Petrokimia Gresik, and are now being held again at initiation Ministry of SOEs," he said.

He also invited the people of Gresik to provide support for the company, so that its operations in advancing agriculture in Indonesia can run smoothly. "The more advanced Petrokimia Gresik is the greater the benefits that can be felt by the community. So that activities like this can be held often," he said.

One of the people who got cheap groceries, Indahsah from Tlogopojok admitted that she was grateful. Because the basic food packages received are far below the market price.

"Hopefully this activity will often be carried out by Petrokimia Gresik, especially during Ramadan and before Eid al-Fitr later," said Indahsah.

Finally, Dwi Satriyo also added that this "People's Market and MSME Bazaar" is a manifestation of the company's concern and the Ministry of SOEs to provide benefits to the community and business actors. Because through the support of the community and

other stakeholders, Petrokimia Gresik smoothly runs operations to maintain national food security.
