The Clean Indonesia Community Movement Event, led by President Director of PT Petrokimia Gresik (PG), Rahmad Pribadi, got tremendous responses from the communities of Roomo Village, Manyar District, Gresik. Clean Indonesia Community Movement held in Roomo Village area on Sunday morning (31/03/2019) was a collaboration between Ministry of BUMN, Petrokimia Gresik, and Petrokimia Gresik Employee Wife Association (PIKPG). The cleaning and waste selection activities were attended by PG Directors and employees, PIKPG officers and members, SKPG, Forkopimka Manyar, East Java BUMN Leaders’ Wife Association (IIP) and Roomo villagers.
Clean Indonesia Community Movement was held as a series of BUMN Ministry 21st anniversary. This activity was also an effort of BUMN ministry to support the Indonesia Waste Free in 2020 to be successful.
Roomo Village Head, Rusdiyanto, expressed his gratitude because of his area was honored as the host of Clean Indonesia Community Movement event. Rusdiyanto hoped that the activity led by PG and PIKPG could motivate all people of Roomo on environmental hygiene issues, and sustainable waste management as well.
In his speech, PIKPG chairperson, Kuntari Laksmitadewi, said that this activity was to build collective awareness of waste management, especially plastic wastes, so that it would not become an environmental problems in the future.
Meanwhile, PG President Director, Rahmad Pribadi, revealed that PG as a holding member of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), was always striving to improve its performance, transforming towards the Agroindustry Solutions company to support the national food sovereignty.
"PG is a state-owned company, owned by the people, and belong to all of us, which we have to preserve its existence. For this reason, we ask for your prayers and support so that PG will be better and prosperous, so that it can increase its positive contribution to the surrounding communities, nation and country", said President Director, Rahmad Pribadi.
The series of Clean Indonesia Community Movement events in Roomo Village, Manyar, Gresik was also filled with bazaars and mass gymnastics, as well as charity by providing cleaning equipment by PG and computer equipment by PIKPG. Hartono
