Petrokimia Gresik Innovates, Creating a New Future by Optimizing Green Industry and Customer Satisfaction.

Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustry Solutions company and a member of the Pupuk Indonesia group, continues to shape a new future by optimizing green industry practices and customer satisfaction. This commitment is evident in Petrokimia Gresik's recent innovations: Internal Supply Chain Excellence (ISCE), High Efficiency Low Emission Eco-System, and the newly acclaimed Phonska Alam, which received recognition at the Pupuk Indonesia Quality Improvement (PIQI) event in Bontang, East Kalimantan.

Dwi Satriyo Annurogo, the President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, announced on Friday in Gresik that the "Internal Supply Chain Excellence (ISCE)" innovation is a program focusing on the logistic management process from unloading raw materials from ships at the port, delivery to warehouses and factories, to the final product ready for sale. The ISCE program aims to enhance efficiency and reduce supply chain costs within Petrokimia Gresik.

"The implementation of the ISCE program has reduced internal supply chain costs at Petrokimia Gresik from IDR 376.3 billion to IDR 286.6 billion, resulting in cost savings of nearly 24 percent," stated Dwi Satriyo.

The ISCE program is rooted in efforts to achieve savings to provide the best and most competitive products for customers. It offers three solutions, including business process transformation through the optimization of raw material handling processes by reallocating warehouse space based on the Fast, Slow, Non-Moving (FSN) Analysis principle. Additionally, the program includes digital supply chain transformation by creating integrated applications such as Petroport, WMS Inbound, WMS Outbound, 2CE, and DTMS to support operational processes. Moreover, the program introduces ER-PORT or improvements in implementing green industry practices at the port.

"This innovation is the company's effort to accelerate and create a new future as a global environmentally conscious company in line with the common goals of the Pupuk Indonesia Group," said Dwi Satriyo.

The implementation of the ISCE Ecosystem can also be applied to the supply chain processes of other companies to support effective and efficient logistics activities. This ecosystem has been benchmarked and has inspired several companies, including Semen Indonesia, Pupuk Sriwijaya Palembang, Pupuk Iskandar Muda, and Krakatau Bandar Samudera.

"The implementation of the ISCE ecosystem makes the supply chain process more optimal, and the company can increase customer satisfaction through the optimization of product supply," added Dwi Satriyo.

This innovation won the first prize in the Best Growth category at PIQI 2023. Additionally, Petrokimia also achieved the second prize in the Best Sustainability category for the High Efficiency Low Emission Eco-System innovation, which successfully reduced emissions and improved environmental safety.

"This innovation has reduced SO2 emissions by 68.8 percent, from 97.29 tons/month to 30.34 tons/month at the Sulfuric Acid Plant II Stack, making it three times safer for the environment. Furthermore, this innovation is also in line with the theme of PIQI 2023, which is 'Accelerating Into a Green Future,'" explained Dwi Satriyo.

Petrokimia Gresik was also recognized as the Best Performance at PIQI 2023 for its latest product innovation, Phonska Alam. The excellence of this product lies in its production from natural mineral materials suitable for organic farming systems.

"Efforts to reduce emissions and introduce Phonska Alam fertilizer for organic farming are evidence of Petrokimia Gresik's continuous innovation and support for Pupuk Indonesia in creating a new future as a global environmentally conscious company by implementing Green Industry practices," concluded Dwi Satriyo.

These accolades were achieved after Petrokimia Gresik competed with 56 Innovation Groups from eleven Pupuk Indonesia Group companies at the PIQI 2013 event. The innovations presented by Petrokimia Gresik are the company's efforts to support Pupuk Indonesia in improving process effectiveness, cost efficiency, and performance, thus enhancing competitiveness.
