President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Achmad Bakir Pasaman accompanied by Deputy President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Nugroho Christijanto and his staff made a working visit to Petrokimia Gresik on Friday (14/01). Bakir Pasaman wants to ensure that the production of subsidized fertilizer for Petrokimia Gresik, a holding member of the Pupuk Indonesia, is safe for the 2022 growing season.

Dwi Satriyo Annurogo, the President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, in the presence of the President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, said that Petrokimia Gresik is ready to produce various needs of subsidized fertilizer stocks which have been commissioned by Pupuk Indonesia.

"At the beginning of the year, Petrokimia Gresik has indeed received a large mandate from the Ministry of Agriculture and Pupuk Indonesia in producing subsidized fertilizers for the 2022 growing season," he said.

As of 2021, Petrokimia Gresik received a mandate to distribute subsidized fertilizer of 4.9 million tons. Meanwhile, the production capacity of Petrokimia Gresik from its 31 factories reaches 8.9 million tons a year. Therefore, the Director of Operations and Production of Petrokimia Gresik, Digna Jatiningsih, is very optimistic that in 2022, Petrokimia Gresik will be able to meet the demand for subsidized fertilizers.

However, based on the established regulations, Dwi Satriyo also ensures that Gresik Petrochemical, as well as Pupuk Indonesia, can only distribute subsidized fertilizers according to an amount that exceeds or is outside of the provisions that have been set by the government.

All holding members of the Pupuk Indonessia Group currently have a series of systems to ensure that fertilizer distribution runs well and by the target, such as ISO antifraud certification 37001, whistleblowing system which is a form of commitment to the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCC), plus digitization of systems such as the Distribution Planning Control System (DPCS). In addition, several breakthrough innovations for the efficiency of Pupuk Indonesia Group's performance, such as Warehouse Applications, Web Commerce, and Product Tracking, have also begun to be tested.
