PT Petrokimia Gresik (PG) cooperated with Daya Dimensi Indonesia Consultant (DDI) Jakarta, held event “Appreciative Inquiry Summit (AIS)” in Wisma Kebomas (9-10/12-2019). It was aimed to evaluate the vision, mission, and values of the company, as well as discussing new transformation ideas, and new hope for the better Petrokimia Gresik in the future. The event themed “Let’s Create Our Own Future” was followed by 140 employees, involving all employees from grade I and II until the representative of grade III until field executor.
On the first day, AIS 2019 which was held to support the Petrokimia Gresik business transformation program towards an agroindustry solution company was also attended by all Directors of PG. On this occasion, each PG Directors joint and interacted with employees according to the discussion group division.
President Director of PG, Rahmad Pribadi when opening this event, said that the theme raised in AIS 2019 was in line with the journey that existed in PG history from 1972 to the present. "Why do I always say “Let’s Create Our Own Future”, because I admit that Petrokimia Gresik DNA is a DNA of change," said the President Director.
Petrokimia Gresik is able to metamorphose from a single non-organic fertilizer producer to the most complete fertilizer producer in Indonesia, a pioneer in compound non-organic and organic fertilizers, and has development products to support the improvement of Indonesia's agroindustry.
"Don't make our predecessors sad. Therefore we must be able to create new products that are transformative. Not getting stuck in the status quo or duplicating success, but creating something new, creating new success," said the President Director.
To be able to create new successes, we must dare to take risks in transforming or making changes. The President Director said that every change requires 3 (three) things, that is optimism, unity and confidence. "And that (optimism, unity, confidence_red), all of us (PG management and employees_red) have it," said the President Director.
In his closing statement, President Director, Rahmad Pribadi hopes that the ideas created at the 2019 AIS event can be followed up into an initiative strategy, so that our dream of making Petrokimia Gresik become more advanced, and more beneficial for the nation and state can be achieved. Hartono
