Sharing the Blessings Of Ramadan, Petrokimia Gresik Provides Assistance for Mosques, Musalla Islamic Boarding Schools & Orphanages Around The Company

Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustrial Solutions company holding member of the Pupuk Indonesia, distributed aid to 134 houses of worship and social institutions consisting of mosques, musalla, orphanages, and Islamic boarding schools around the company for operations during Ramadan 1444 H. The aid worth a total of Rp632.5 million was symbolically handed over directly by SVP Corporate Secretary of Petrokimia Gresik, Yusuf Wibisono representing the President Director, to several representatives in Gresik, East Java, recently.

"We hope that the happiness of Ramadan can be felt by all Muslims around the company. For this reason, we provide this operational assistance so that the festivities of Ramadan are felt in houses of worship and social institutions that receiving the assistance," said Yusuf.

Petrokimia Gresik Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) assistance is routinely given by Petrokimia Gresik every year. This year, the details of the assistance provided are Rp 7.5 million each for 15 mosques, Rp 5 million for each of 69 musallas, and Rp 3.5 million for each of 23 islamic boarding school and 27 orphanages.

Yusuf said that Petrokimia Gresik realizes the importance of caring and sharing to improve reputation and the desire to grow and develop together with society.

"The progress and growth of the company must be accompanied by the development and welfare of the surrounding community. This means that the company must be able to provide a sustainable good impact on the community," he said.

This lively Ramadan activity, he added, is also a form of the company's gratitude to welcome the 51st Anniversary of Petrokimia Gresik which will be on July 10th.

"Apart from the optimal performance of Petrokimia Gresik personnel, the success and development of the company today can also be realized thanks to the support and prayers of stakeholders and the surrounding community," said Yusuf.

He also hopes that this program can further strengthen the relationship between Petrokimia Gresik and the community so that they can support each other. "Hopefully this assistance can provide benefits and positive contributions to the people of Gresik Regency," said Yusuf.

In the same place, the Chairman of the Indonesian Mosque Council (DMI) Gresik Regency, Zainal Abidin appreciated the concern of Petrokimia Gresik.

He also invited all mosque and musalla managers to pray and support the company's smooth operation. This activity is also expected to be istikhomah.

"Hopefully Petrokimia Gresik will also develop other mosque awareness programs, such as agricultural or hydroponic idea activities in mosques. So that it provides benefits for mosque worshippers, "said Zainal.

Meanwhile, one of the lecturers of The Islamic Boarding School Hidayatur Rohman Tlogopojok, Badriyatul Muniroh appreciated the assistance provided by Petrokimia Gresik. He revealed that this assistance was not the first assistance provided by Petrokimia Gresik to his boarding school, so Petrokimia Gresik had a good affinity with his boarding school.

"We will use this assistance for some renovations of our damaged buildings so that they are more comfortable in studying and praying during Ramadan," he said.

The same thing was also conveyed by Zawawi Hamid, Head of Nurul Jannah Orphanage. He admitted that this assistance would be used partly for the education costs of his foster children.

"Petrokimia Gresik has provided a lot of assistance to our orphanage. Alhamdulillah, specifically for education, our children are now taking a lot of universities also from the assistance of Petrokimia Gresik, " he concluded.
