Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustry Solution company and a member of the Pupuk Indonesia holding, has received appreciation from stakeholders through four awards at the "3rd TJSL & CSR Award 2023." The awards were symbolically accepted by Petrokimia Gresik's CEO, Dwi Satriyo Annurogo, represented by Jogi Krisdianto, Senior Vice President (SVP) of Petrokimia Gresik, some time ago.

The four awards include two Platinum Winner awards for the Economic and Environmental pillars and a Gold Winner award in the Social pillar category. These achievements have also earned Petrokimia Gresik's CEO, Dwi Satriyo Annurogo, the title of "The Most Committed CEO of BUMN on TJSL."

"These awards were won by Petrokimia Gresik because the company's TJSL program is considered in line with the four pillars of development, namely social, economic, environmental, legal, and governance pillars. Additionally, it has the ability to add value to the company," said Dwi Satriyo.

The evaluated TJSL programs of Petrokimia Gresik include Mangga, Literasi, and Kalam Mangrove, all of which have achieved significant success in various national events.

Mangga, an acronym for Mitra Kebanggaan (Pride Partners), is a program for developing MSMEs. Mangga represents the transformation of the Micro and Small Business Funding (PUMK) program since 1984.

Through Mangga, Petrokimia Gresik provides not only capital assistance but also guidance and mentoring to MSME practitioners from various regions. In 2022, Petrokimia Gresik assisted 631 MSMEs in East Java, Central Java, DI Yogyakarta, and surrounding areas, with a revolving fund distribution of IDR 41.8 billion.

The Literasi program, or Integrated Livestock Farming Literacy, optimizes the existence of existing cattle farmers in Sumbersari Village, Lamongan Regency, by empowering the community from upstream to downstream. Literasi builds a smart agribusiness ecosystem that can create agricultural and livestock risk solutions through waste-based insurance and savings.

"Literasi also supports the company's sustainability because in its activities, there is the use of company products, both fertilizer and non-fertilizer products, and the transfer of knowledge to the community regarding the use of waste for organic planting media," he explained.

Lastly, there is the development of the Mangrove Conservation Tourism Kali Lamong (Kalam Mangrove). Together with the community of Sukorejo Village, Gresik Regency, the company strives to transform the Kali Lamong riverbank area from being just a dumping ground into a comfortable mangrove ecotourism destination.

Dwi Satriyo explained that TJSL is the implementation of Petrokimia Gresik's commitment to progress with the community, creating a harmonious relationship. The company recognizes that Petrokimia Gresik's business sustainability over the past 51 years is inseparable from the support of the community, whose existence is now directly adjacent to Petrokimia Gresik.

"The main spirit of various Petrokimia Gresik TJSL programs is to empower the community to be independent socially, economically, and environmentally," emphasized Dwi Satriyo.

Meanwhile, the TJSL and CSR Award 2023 is an annual event organized by BUMN Track. This is Petrokimia Gresik's third participation, and each year the company has consistently brought home awards. These awards are the highest form of appreciation for BUMN and BUMN subsidiary companies that have implemented the best TJSL and CSR practices. The program also provides recommendations to companies to continually improve the quality of TJSL and CSR programs for the achievement of sustainable development goals.
