On the 78th Anniversary of Indonesia's Independence Day, Petrokimia Gresik Strengthens Commitment to Fulfilling the Mandate of Subsidized Fertilizer Distribution Through Sustainable Digital Transformation

On the occasion of the 78th Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia (RI) and Petrokimia Gresik's 51st anniversary, the leading Agroindustry Solution company, a member of the Pupuk Indonesia Holding, reinforces its commitment to efficiently distribute subsidized fertilizers, aligning with the government's directives through continuous digital transformation. This was communicated by Dwi Satriyo Annurogo, the President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, following the RI Independence Day Ceremony in Gresik, East Java, on Thursday (17/8).

He stated that, to support the smooth distribution of subsidized fertilizers, Petrokimia Gresik is consistently transforming various aspects, including the distribution line, to enhance supervision, distribution accuracy, and ensure fertilizer availability across different distribution lines.

"Today, Petrokimia Gresik launches the Warehouse & Bagging Command Center as a tangible manifestation of our commitment to sustainable transformation in fulfilling the subsidized fertilizer distribution mandate."

This facility serves as a control tower for warehousing and bagging facilities at the Phonska Factory, ZA Factory, Urea Factory, and Phosphate Fertilizer Factory, bulk product-ready-to-sell warehouse facilities, as well as the inbag warehouse facility of Petrokimia Gresik's Line I. The Command Center also functions as an active 24/7 (nonstop) helpdesk for shipping services to transporters and fertilizer customers/distributors.

"We hope this facility will further enhance efficiency, supervision, and distribution accuracy, ensuring that the subsidized fertilizer distribution task is accomplished even more effectively," said Dwi Satriyo.

The Warehouse & Bagging Command Center complements various digital transformation initiatives previously undertaken by Petrokimia Gresik to support the company's product bagging and distribution processes. These initiatives include the Smart Bagging System (SBS), Warehouse Management System (WMS), Digital Transport Management System (DTMS), Online Truck Scheduling System (SISTRO), Customer Centric Excellence (2CE), and Petrokimia Gresik Port Information System (PETROPORT).

"Through the digital transformation we have implemented, we aim to ensure the distribution of subsidized fertilizers throughout Indonesia, within the responsibility area of Petrokimia Gresik, in accordance with the assignment, while minimizing the potential for deviations," emphasized Dwi Satriyo.

This commitment is undoubtedly intertwined with the smooth operational efforts of Petrokimia Gresik in producing fertilizers, ensuring the availability of subsidized fertilizers. As of August 16, 2023, Petrokimia Gresik has prepared a stock of subsidized Urea fertilizer amounting to 101,597 tons, equivalent to 455% of the government-mandated minimum of 22,341 tons. Meanwhile, the stock of Phonska fertilizer is 376,588 tons, representing 494% of the government's minimum stock of 73,407 tons.

"On average, these stocks are more than four times the government's minimum requirements. Thus, the subsidized fertilizer needs of farmers can be met for the next three weeks. This is amanifestation of Petrokimia Gresik's commitment to fulfilling the government's mandate and ensuring national food security," declared Dwi Satriyo.

These fertilizer stocks are currently in Line II (Provincial) and Line III (District/City). He also assured that all subsidized fertilizers distributed by Petrokimia Gresik to farmers meet the requirements set out in the Minister of Agriculture Regulation (Permentan) No. 10 of 2022 regarding the Procedures for Determining Allocation and HET of Subsidized Fertilizers in the Agricultural Sector.

"In essence, Petrokimia Gresik is ready to carry out the tasks and responsibilities entrusted by the government, which include producing fertilizers as per the assignment and ensuring their distribution. Meanwhile, digitalization will provide optimal results for our efforts to fulfill this mandate," concluded Dwi Satriyo.
