The signing ceremony of the TSB Kangean Field Gas Distribution Joint Agreement, between PT Petrokimia Gresik and Kangean Energy Indonesia Ltd, was held at the Mulia Resort Hotel, Nusa Dua, Bali (06/02/2020). The signing was carried out by President Director of PT Petrokimia Gresik, Rahmad Pribadi, and President of Kangean Energy Indonesia Ltd, Minoru Kuniyasu.
KEI will distribute quantum gas to PT Petrokimia Gresik in the amount of 41.34 Trillion British Thermal Unit (TBTU) in the period of 12 February 2020 to 31 December 2021. The Gas Sales and Purchase Agreement between Kangean Energy Indonesia and PT Petrokimia Gresik was first started in 2005 and amended several times until February 11, 2020. The signing of this agreement is an extension of a joint gas distribution agreement between PT Petrokimia Gresik and KEI Ltd.
President Director of PT Petrokimia Gresik, Rahmad Pribadi conveyed that gas is an important component in fertilizer production.
“The certainty of continuous gas supply from Kangean Energy Indonesia is very influential for the continuity of PT Petrokimia Gresik's operations in order to support the Government in realizing a national food security program,” explained Rahmad.
This smooth and continuity of this gas supply will support the Transformation of Petrokimia Gresik Business as a subsidiary company of PT Pupuk Indonesia, to become an agro-industry solution company that is also able to compete in the global market. Hartono
