Petrokimia Gresik Successfully Increases Agricultural Productivity Through Comprehensive Assistance In Agricultural Cultivation And Postharvest Processing In Gianyar, Bali

Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustrial Solutions company and holding member of the Pupuk Indonesia provides comprehensive agricultural assistance, ranging from crop cultivation to postharvest product management in Gianyar Regency, Bali.This assistance is marked by the harvest of demonstration plots (demplots) of the Makmur program in Keliki Village, Kec. Tegallalang, Kab. Gianyar.

Petrokimia Gresik Operations & Production Director, Digna Jatiningsih, who was present at the demplot harvest, said that the company's plant cultivation assistance was carried out through the Makmur Program. Petrokimia Gresik conducts rice demplots at seven points with an average productivity increase of up to 25 percent compared to the previous farmers' cultivation.

"The average yield from the Makmur Program demplot reaches 7,375 tons / Ha. While rice productivity here was previously only 5.9 tons / Ha, "said Digna.

This increase in crop yields uses balanced fertilization recommendations Petrokimia Gresik, namely Phosgreen (100 kg / Ha), ZA Plus (50 kg / Ha), Petroganik Premium organic fertilizer (500 kg / Ha), Nonsubsidized Urea (200 kg / Ha) and NPK Phonska Plus (300 kg / Ha).

"The fertilizer products we present are also an alternative substitution for farmers who need ZA, SP-36, and Petroganik products which are currently no longer subsidized by the government according to regulations Minister of Agriculture Number 10 of 2022," said Digna.

Petrokimia Gresik has provided additional ingredients needed by plants in the new fertilizer. Not just a differentiator with subsidized products, but this additional content will provide more optimal results.

ZA Plus, for example, has a Nitrogen content of 21%, Sulfur 24%, and Zinc 1000 ppm. The advantages of this fertilizer can spur the growth of the number of saplings, plant height, and number of leaves and make the color of the leaves look greener. In addition, it also improves the quality of crops by improving the color, aroma, taste, and size of fruits/tubers, and makes plants more resistant to pest or disease attacks.

Petroganik Premium has a high C-organic content, which is at least 15%, a maximum C/N ratio of 25, and a pH between 4 to 9. High C-organic content makes premium petroganics able to improve soil structure and air conditioning more optimally so that nutrient absorption by the roots becomes better. This fertilizer is suitable for all types of soil and types of plants.

Phosgreen, with a minimum of 20% Phosphate and Calcium content, and at least 3% Magnesium which functions to spur root growth, and flower formation, and increase crop yield resistance to reduce depreciation during storage. Phosgreen is also enriched with additional Sulfur nutrients that can improve the quality of crop yields.

Meanwhile, in addition to assistance in rice cultivation, Petrokimia Gresik in Gianyar also assists with postharvest processing. Petrokimia Gresik in collaboration with Farmer Groups and BumDes Keliki provided training on crop processing, and now produces "Dewi Sri Keliki Premium Rice" products.

In this program, Petrokimia Gresik provides training in postharvest grain processing, processing rice into premium rice, P-IRT permit management, making and managing social media for the promotion of products and agrotourism, marketplace account creation, and financial and marketing management training.

"We hope that the demplot cultivation that has been carried out can be duplicated by other rice farmers in Gianyar Regency, as well as farmers in Bali. So that the benefits of Petrokimia Gresik's best products can be felt by more farmers and can encourage regional economic growth and support food security national," Digna concluded.
