Halal bi halal is a unique tradition in Indonesian culture that has a deep meaning. The term "halal" means something permissible in Islam, while "bihalal" refers to forgiving each other and removing any grudges or tensions that may exist between individuals.
The celebration of halal bihalal is usually done as a joyful moment and as a place to strengthen the relationship. Halal bihalal is an important time to present a warm atmosphere, forgive each other, and build harmonious relationships among others. This was then done by the Board of Directors of Petrokimia Gresik on Monday (8/5/2023) by holding a halal bihalal tour to visit all existing departments. The halal bihalal is carried out to be able to interact directly with employees to appreciate their contribution to achieving company success and increasing employee productivity.
The event started at 07.30 WIB by walking around and greeting all employees at the Petrokimia Gresik head office. After that, the Board of Directors continued the trip to visit departments outside the head office, such as the general service department, security department, HR and organization development department, research department, environment department, K3 department, production department, production partner management department, engineering and business department, and other departments. Not to forget, the Board of Directors also visited the Petrokimia Gresik Labor Union (SKPG) office to stay in touch. The event ended with lunch with all Directors of Petrokimia Gresik subsidiaries.
Halal bihalal is a momentum to strengthen cooperation between departments and work teams at Petrokimia Gresik. These events can remove boundaries and encourage cross-division collaboration.
