Petrokimia Gresik Achieves Eight Excellence Awards at International Quality and Productivity Convention (IQPC) in Kuala Lumpur

Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustry Solutions company and a member of the Pupuk Indonesia group, has successfully secured eight Excellent awards at the International Quality and Productivity Convention (IQPC) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Dwi Satriyo Annurogo, the President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, announced on Friday in Gresik that Petrokimia Gresik sent eight of its best innovation groups to Kuala Lumpur. One of these groups also represented Pupuk Indonesia as the Grand Champion at the Pupuk Indonesia Quality Improvement (PIQI) event in 2022.

"Alhamdulillah, all the innovation groups from Petrokimia Gresik that participated in Kuala Lumpur successfully presented innovations with the best results, namely the Excellent award, which is the highest accolade at this event," he said.

The eight innovation groups from Petrokimia Gresik that competed in Malaysia were GIO FABA, the Grand Champion of PIQI 2022, along with GIO New Crossbar, GIO Lingfos, GIO HCDev, GIO Er-Port, GIO DTMS, GIO Jet High Tech, and SS Helem.

"Our innovation groups became the best after competing against 80 innovators from more than 60 companies in various countries," he emphasized.

In the IQPC 2023 in Kuala Lumpur, five Innovation Groups from the Petrokimia Gresik Group also competed and contributed by winning five Excellent awards and two Best Presentation awards.

Three were SS Starplus, SS Exacc, and SS Max from Petrokimia Kayaku. The other two were SS Commorbid and SS Bio U Ditch, each from Petrokopindo Cipta Selaras (PCS) and the Consumer Cooperative of Petrokimia Gresik's Extended Family (K3PG).

"For the PCS and K3PG Innovation Groups, they also received additional awards, each being selected as the Best Presentation," said Dwi Satriyo.

He further explained that innovation has become more than just a culture and a core value at Petrokimia Gresik; it has become the company's DNA. Therefore, the Management fully supports every individual at Petrokimia Gresik who wants to showcase their work through competitions like this.

"Besides having a positive impact in supporting the company's business growth, by participating in competitions like this, our team's innovations also gain recognition from stakeholders and are expected to contribute to the industry in Indonesia and even internationally," said Dwi Satriyo.

Meanwhile, IQPC is an international innovation convention with participants from Asian countries. This year, the event occurred in Kuala Lumpur from September 4 to 7, 2023.
