Directors of PT Petrokimia Gresik (PG) welcomed the Indonesian Ambassador of the Kingdom of Jordan and Palestine, Andy Rachmianto in Kemuning Room, PG Head Office (26/06/19). The Indonesian Ambassador visit was accompanied by delegates from Jordan Phosphate Mines Co. (JPMC), Nasser Hussein Rashed Abu Oleam, and Shafik Mahmoud Abed Askar.
Ambassador Andy Rachmianto conveyed, one of his main tasks was to promote Indonesia internationally, related to the success and growth of Indonesia’s development. Among them are development in industry and trade, investment and tourism sectors.
Responding to PG Directors Rahmad Pribadi’s explanation about PG development as the most complete fertilizer producer and chemicals in Indonesia currently transforming towards an agroindustry solution company, Andy considered PG had a great opportunity to compete in the international market.
Meanwhile, JPMC delegate, Syafik Mahmod Abed Askar claimed to be very impressed with the large Petrokimia Gresik. Syafik hoped that the relationship between Petrokimia Gresik and JPMC which had been established so far, would be further strengthened and enhanced.
Petrokimia Gresik collaborated with JPMC since 2010, then it was followed up with the construction of Petro Jordan Abadi (PJA) in 2012. The 50:50 joint venture company located in PG area was inaugurated on October 15, 2014 by Dahlan Iskan, who at that time, served as Indonesian Minister of BUMN. The factory that produced phosphoric acid, sulfuric acid, granulated gypsum, and purified gypsum was commercially operating since 2015.
"The potential of PG cooperation with JPMC is certainly still very large, since PG has a vast land and a very large product range", said PG Director Rahmad Pribadi.
