Minister of National Development Planning/Head of Bappenas, Bambang Brodjonegoro and Thomas Cup Winner in 1998 and 2000, Chandra Wijaya attended in coaching clinic event which held by Persatuan Bulutangkis (PB) of Petrokimia Gresik (PG) at Tri Dharma building, Saturday (28/9/19).
Chandra Wijaya, The champion of World Championship 1997, and the winner of Olympic Gold Medals 2000 in Sydney was sharing spirit and tips to 30 coaching clinic participants consisting of elementary student.
Chandra hope that his presence with the Head of Bappenas could give inspiration for beginner athlete. According to him, the support from Petrokimia Gresik to the badminton could raise the potential of the player in region, especially Gresik. Then, it will appear new athlete and show their best to get the achievement at level of Region, National, and International.
“The support of many parties such as Petrokimia Gresik has become very important for fostering Indonesia's badminton achievements,” said Chandra.
Meanwhile, Head of Bappenas, Bambang Brodjonegoro apreciated the commitment of PBPG in growing the interest of student with badminton.
“Coaching clinic of PB Petrokimia Gresik is very good event. The enthusiasm of each participant also very good. Besides that, this event become a medium to meet the Directors of Petrokimia Gresik for having a good relationship,” said Chandra.
President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, Rahmad Pribadi said that the coaching clinic is a support from Petrokimia Gresik with badminton. PG as agroindustry solution company , and member holding of PT Pupuk Indonesia also support government in improving the performance of sports in Indonesia. The President Director hope that the presence of Chandra Wijaya can give inspiration to the talented athlete, and can be the winner in National and International.
Rahmad said that the Management support badminton coaching for employees. According to the President Director, badminton not only make health, but also teach us many philosophy which can increase the work performance to support the business transformation of company.
“Badminton teach us to control ourselves. We can learn to manage emotion to make it calm and confident, so that we are able to change the strategy tactically when in pressure and miss the process. This condition can be happen in business world to become market leader,” said the President Director.
