Undefeated in the first five games of the first round, Gresik Phonska Plus Pupuk Indonesia (GPPI) is aiming for a full score in the fourth week of the 2026 Proliga, which will take place at the Tri Dharma Petrokimia Gresik Sports Hall in Gresik. For this home match, or the Gresik Series, GPPI is confident of securing a clean sweep of victories against Jakarta Livin Mandiri on Thursday (January 29, 2026), the final match of the first round, and against Medan Falcons on Sunday (February 1, 2026), the opening match of GPPI's second round.

Petrokimia Gresik President Director, Daconi Khotob, stated that the five-game unbeaten run in the first round of the 2026 Proliga has made GPPI even more optimistic about achieving its target of winning first place in Indonesia's biggest competition.

"We've been participating in the Proliga for over two decades, and we've never won first place. We've only finished as runners-up, and according to records, we've finished six times. This season is GPPI's best yet, as we look to secure the title," Daconi concluded.

He also expressed his appreciation to the players, coaches, and all officials for their clean sweep of wins in the previous weeks of the first round of the 2026 Proliga. However, he reminded the entire team to remain focused so they can regain full points in the following matches, especially when playing at home.

"Of course, playing at home has its own advantages. We have the direct support of the Gresik community, and this will motivate the team to perform at their best," concluded Daconi.

Meanwhile, the General Chair of PBV Petrokimia Gresik, Iwan Febrianto, explained that since the beginning of the first round of the competition, the team has emphasized its primary goal of maintaining consistency in every match.
