Petrokimia Gresik Supports 'Lontar' MSMEs At Cokro Ekraf Festival

Petrokimia Gresik, a member of the Pupuk Indonesia Agroindustry Solutions company, is committed to preserving culture and advancing Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Gresik by supporting the Cokro Ekraf Festival held in the Bandar Grisse area or along Jl. HOS. Cokroaminoto, Gresik Regency, on Saturday, March 2, 2024.

The Cokro Ekraf Festival is organized through good coordination between the Department of Tourism and Creative Economy, Culture, Youth and Sports (Disparekrafbudpora) of Gresik Regency and the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) of Petrokimia Gresik. This event aims to facilitate various segments of the community, including MSMEs, music communities, young creatives, and the general public. The Cokro Ekraf Festival is held twice a month, on Saturdays in the first and third weeks of each month.

Separately, Dwi Satriyo Annurogo, President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, stated that the Cokro Ekraf Festival aligns with Petrokimia Gresik's commitment to advancing MSMEs around the company. Therefore, Petrokimia Gresik encourages "LONTAR" (Community Snack Group) – an MSME fostered by Petrokimia Gresik from eight villages/urban neighborhoods around the company – to participate in the Cokro Ekraf Festival bazaar stands.

"We welcome this activity positively because it can serve as a promotional medium, strengthen market networks, or facilitate the exchange of creative ideas for LONTAR MSMEs, thus enhancing their businesses," said Dwi Satriyo.

LONTAR is a combination of PKK mothers and Sekar Mamamia (Mama & Youth Petrokimia Cadre School) around the company, including Roomo Village, Tlogopojok Village, Lumpur Village, Karangturi Village, Karangpoh Village, Sukorame Village, Kroman Village, and Ngipik Village. The LONTAR program aims to optimize the business activities of mothers in the vicinity of the company who are often found running traditional snack businesses, such as jenang jubung, telur bader, bubur masin, and various other snacks and beverages.

"Through the LONTAR program, Petrokimia Gresik provides comprehensive assistance. In addition to conducting various training sessions, such as pastry making, so that participants can develop their snack businesses to be more attractive and in demand, Petrokimia Gresik also promotes their products through participation in bazaars, including the Cokro Ekraf Festival," he emphasized.
