Petrokimia Gresik Recognized as a Role Model in Industry 4.0 Transformation, Receives National Lighthouse Industry 4.0 Award from the Ministry of Industry

Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustrial Solutions company the holding member of the Pupuk Indonesia received the National Lighthouse Industry 4.0 award from the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) of the Republic of Indonesia. The award was handed over directly by the Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita to the Director of Finance and General Affairs of Petrokimia Gresik, Robby Setiabudi Madjid in Jakarta, Wednesday (21/2/2024).

Robby expressed his gratitude for the National Lighthouse Industry 4.0 award given by the Ministry of Industry to Petrokimia Gresik. This achievement is proof that the company's Industry 4.0 transformation program is better than before, which just obtained INDI 4.0 Champion.

"Petrokimia Gresik received the National Lighthouse Industry 4.0 award because it was assessed by the Ministry of Industry, in this case through the Standardization Agency and Industrial Services Policy it was able to become a role model for other industries in the transformation journey and implementation of industry 4.0 which provides benefits in financial, operational and technological aspects," said Robby.

He added, that to support the success of industry 4.0 transformation, the company has a forum for employees who want to propose breakthroughs or innovations through the Transformation House. Every employee who has an industry 4.0 transformation idea or any innovation can be optimized or realized through the Transformation House.

As for the implementation of industrial transformation 4.0, continued Robby, it has a positive impact on finance and operations. In terms of revenue, the company increased to IDR 26.6 trillion in 2020; IDR 28.9 trillion in 2021, and IDR 39.4 trillion in 2022.

"The same trend is also followed by the company's net profit achievement, the total quantum of fertilizer and non-fertilizer production. In addition, employee productivity has also increased from year to year, "said Robby.

Meanwhile, the programs run by Petrokimia Gresik in industrial transformation 4.0 include the Projection Excellence (PIXEL) application. This application can project the cost of goods produced and the total costs of the company simultaneously and can formulate calculations effectively and efficiently.

Next, Internal Supply Chain Excellence which is a digital supply chain transformation program by creating several integrated applications such as Petroport, WMS, 2CE, and DTMS starting from the process of unloading raw materials from ships at ports, shipping to warehouses and factories, to becoming ready-to-sell products.

"Some applications that have been implemented are also adopted by other companies in the Pupuk Indonesia Group because they see the benefits that can be felt if applied in other companies. In addition, Petrokimia Gresik also got several opportunities to be used as a benchmark against other companies, because it has received various awards at the national and international levels," he concluded.

National Lighthouse Industry 4.0 is one of the activities of the Standardization and Industrial Services Policy Agency of the Ministry of Industry to encourage companies to transform into Industry 4.0. The achievers are companies that can become a model for other industries in the transformation and implementation of Industry 4.0, thus acting as a beacon to guide other industries in the implementation of Technology 4.0.

In addition to Petrokimia Gresik, Pupuk Indonesia also received the National Lighthouse Industry 4.0 award which was received directly by the President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi. The same award was also received by Pupuk Sriwidjaja Palembang, another subsidiary of Pupuk Indonesia. The hope is that the transformation of Industry 4.0 can be increased to become the Global Lighthouse Network Industry 4.0 which is the highest level.
