In an effort to strengthen the national fertilizer supply chain, Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustrial Solutions company and a member of the Pupuk Indonesia holding company, is encouraging all partners to optimize the use of Domestic Products (PDN) and commit to implementing Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) in every procurement process. This was conveyed by Petrokimia Gresik's Director of Finance and General Affairs, Adityo Wibowo, at a Vendor Gathering event in Gresik, East Java, on Wednesday (November 26, 2025).
Adityo Wibowo (Adityo's nickname) explained that partners are not simply suppliers of goods and services. He stated that partners are Petrokimia Gresik's strategic partners in strengthening the national fertilizer supply chain, in an effort to maintain national food self-sufficiency. Furthermore, partners also contribute to the smooth operation of the plant, the quality of service, and the company's competitiveness.
"Partners play a strategic role. Therefore, we encourage all partners collaborating with Petrokimia Gresik in the procurement of goods and services to strive to optimize their PDN and implement ESG as a strategy to strengthen the national fertilizer supply chain," he concluded.
Optimizing PDN, Adit added, is not merely to comply with government policy. Furthermore, encouraging partners to use domestic components is also a form of Petrokimia Gresik's contribution to national industrial independence.
Furthermore, Petrokimia Gresik also encourages partners to ensure that every procurement process is not only cost-efficient but also socially responsible and environmentally friendly. As an environmentally conscious company, Petrokimia Gresik prioritizes ESG in its development strategy.
"Collaboration with partners who are PDN and ESG-oriented is an important part of Petrokimia Gresik's efforts to maintain smooth fertilizer production. This is one of the company's strategies to support the achievement of national food self-sufficiency," Adit concluded.
Finally, Adit ensured that the procurement process at Petrokimia Gresik is carried out in accordance with the principles of Good Corporate Governance (GCG). Through the use of technology, an objective evaluation system, and policy alignment within the Pupuk Indonesia Group, the procurement process is faster, cleaner, and more competitive. "We believe that good governance will create healthy and sustainable working relationships," he said.
Meanwhile, throughout 2025 through the third quarter of 2025, 1,235 partners participated in the tender process at Petrokimia Gresik. The Vendor Gathering serves as a communication platform and a forum to strengthen collaboration between the company and its partners. Through dialogue and the sharing of policy updates, Petrokimia Gresik aims to ensure that partnerships with partners are stronger, more professional, and more mutually reinforcing.
This year's Vendor Gathering, themed "Uniting Networks for Impact, Transparency, and Sustainability (UNITY)," demonstrates the company's efforts to improve effective procurement governance, strengthen strategic partnerships, support the implementation of PDN policies, and encourage the adoption of ESG principles in line with the company's vision and mission.
A total of 110 partners were invited to attend the Vendor Gathering, held at Wisma Kebomas Petrokimia Gresik. In addition, there were also partner representatives who participated in this activity online.
