Coaching & Achievement Forum, Gymnastics Of ‘KEJURPROV’ East Java 2023 Enlivened By 364 Athletes

The 2023 Provincial Championship (Kejurprov) for Gymnastics in Probolinggo City was enlivened by 364 male and female gymnastics athletes from various regions in East Java.

The Daily Chairman of the Indonesian Gymnastics Association (Persani) East Java, Boy Cahyo Prihanto representing the Chairman of the East Java Gymnastics, Nuril Huda on the sidelines of the opening of the 2023 Gymnastics Provincial Kejurprov, some time ago said that there were 23 senior numbers contested, as well as there are an additional 16 numbers for juniors.

According to him, this event will not only have a positive impact on East Javanese gymnastics athletes to achieve achievements. But it can also increase the interest and love of the people of East Java for gymnastics, to give rise to new athletes who excel in gymnastics.

"We hope that in this Kejurprov new outstanding athletes will be born so that they have the potential to become the mainstay of East Java in higher championships. Many outstanding athletes emerged from the region. For that, all athletes must show their best abilities, don't hesitate, and rest assured we can," said Boy.

Furthermore, he also invited all stakeholders to close ranks in conducting coaching in gymnastics, including with the Regency / City Government. "To produce outstanding athletes, Persani East Java cannot work alone. However, there must be support and collaboration from various parties. Kerjurprov is one of the containers. The more platforms held, the potential for the birth of new athletes will be even greater," he explained.

Meanwhile, for the process of bringing up new athletes in gymnastics, of course, they must get facility support. For this reason, Persani East Java collaborated with PT Petrokimia Gresik to provide 100 mattresses to all regencies/cities participating in the 2023 Gymnastics Jurprov.

Boy explained that the aid was divided equally, each participating district/city received four mattresses. Meanwhile, specifically, Probolinggo City, which hosts the Gymnastics Provincial Championship, received eight mattresses.

"This mattress will be a training facility for East Java gymnastics athletes in each region. The persistence of athletes in training and the support of adequate facilities, God willing, we will bear the fruit," said Boy.

"Hopefully this mattress assistance can also be used properly for coaching athlete seeds in every region in East Java," he added.

Boy added, in addition to providing mattress assistance for participating areas Kejurprov also strives to produce outstanding athletes sustainably in East Java through long-term training at Petrokimia Gresik, with better dormitory facilities. Currently, there are 10 East Java male and 12 female gymnastics athletes participating in long-term training at Petrokimia Gresik.

"Through these efforts, we at Persani East Java Management hope that our gymnasts can maintain and increase their achievements in the next National Championship, where in 2022, We have won eight golds in the senior number, as well as 16 golds in the junior number."
