To commemorate its 54th anniversary, Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustrial Solutions company and a member of the Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) holding company, facilitated 100 children to participate in the "Free Public Circumcision 2026" at the Tri Dharma Sports Hall on Tuesday (June 23, 2026). This annual program, held by the company, demonstrates its commitment to the health of children as the nation's future generation.
Petrokimia Gresik's President Director, Daconi Khotob, stated that this public circumcision is part of its Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. This activity also demonstrates the company's commitment to continuously benefiting the community, especially those surrounding its operational areas.
"Petrokimia Gresik has been running this free circumcision program for four decades, since 1985. Thank God, Petrokimia Gresik has been consistently providing benefits to the community," said Daconi.
According to Daconi, the company's success must go hand in hand with improving the community's quality of life. Therefore, Petrokimia Gresik continues to strive to implement various CSR programs that have a real and sustainable impact.
"Petrokimia Gresik is not only focused on achieving business performance but is also committed to growing with the community. Through various social, educational, health, and community empowerment programs, we want to ensure that the company's existence can provide added value to the surrounding environment," he added.
Meanwhile, Petrokimia Gresik Corporate Secretary, Nuril Huda, added that Petrokimia Gresik's circumcision activity was held in conjunction with Petrokimia Gresik's 54th anniversary. This year's circumcision program was attended by 100 children from around the company's operational areas, from Gresik, Lamongan, to Surabaya.
The participants received circumcision services using the Super Ring method, handled by professional medical personnel from Grha Husada Hospital. In addition to the free circumcision, each participant also received a pocket money of Rp 200,000, circumcision pants, sarong, and medication. Participants also received post-circumcision check-ups at Grha Husada Hospital.
"We hope this program will benefit children's health and be part of the family's joy in welcoming one of the most important moments in their development," he said.
Meanwhile, a happy smile radiated from Siti Muzayanah's face as she accompanied her eldest son, Abdullah Rosyidul Rahman (9), to a free circumcision program organized by Petrokimia Gresik. Her decision to register her son stemmed from recommendations from friends and relatives who had already benefited from the program.
Initially, Siti admitted to feeling anxious, like most parents who plan to have their children circumcised. However, those concerns gradually disappeared after witnessing firsthand the professionalism of the medical staff and the service provided during the program. She said the circumcision process went well, supported by post-circumcision services, which made both participants and parents feel more at ease.
Taking advantage of the school holidays, Siti chose to have her son, who will be moving into 4th grade of elementary school, participate in the Petrokimia Gresik circumcision program. She believes this program not only helps the community financially but also brings a sense of comfort and happiness to the participating children.
"Thank God, the recommendations from friends and relatives were true. The service was excellent, the medical staff were professional, and the children received lots of attention, gifts, and toys. Thank you, Petrokimia Gresik, for helping the community and making this important moment for our children even more memorable," said the resident of Randuagung Village, Kebomas District, Gresik Regency.
