On this occasion of the Idul Adha 1447 H Eid, Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustrial Solutions company and member of the Pupuk Indonesia holding, distributed as many as 187 sacrificial animals worth Rp1.8 billion to the community around the company. This annual program serves as an implementation of gratitude and an expression of the company's appreciation for the community's support, enabling Petrokimia Gresik to properly carry out the mandate of distributing subsidized fertilizer in an effort to support the realization of national food self-sufficiency.
The President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, Daconi Khotob in Gresik, East Java, Wednesday (27/5/2026), stated that the Government has made many changes in an effort to provide ease of access for farmers to subsidized fertilizer. He is grateful that the community around the company continues to provide their best support so that Petrokimia Gresik can optimally support the implementation of these policies.
“The momentum of Idul Adha becomes an opportunity for Petrokimia Gresik to share while expressing appreciation to the community that has been supporting the company all this time. Thanks to this support, Petrokimia Gresik is able to properly carry out the mandate of distributing subsidized fertilizer according to the targets,” said Daconi.
He added that various innovations and programs implemented by Petrokimia Gresik have also proven capable of supporting the increase of national agricultural productivity. Therefore, the company remains committed to delivering broader benefits, not only for the agricultural sector but also for the community surrounding the company.
The distribution of sacrificial animals to the community is part of the company's Social and Environmental Responsibility (TJSL) program. This year, Petrokimia Gresik distributed sacrificial animals consisting of 40 cows and 147 goats.
The hundreds of sacrificial animals were distributed to the community in the Gresik, Lamongan, Surabaya and surrounding areas through the management of mosques and prayer rooms (musala), Islamic boarding schools (pondok pesantren), as well as community organizations located around the company's operational areas. The hope is that the benefits of this program can be evenly received by the community.
Furthermore, Daconi ensured that every sacrificial animal distributed by Petrokimia Gresik has also gone through a health inspection process by a veterinarian. Health is a primary concern as it is one of the Islamic laws that must be fulfilled for sacrificial animals. Thus, the sacrificial animals distributed and consumed provide a positive impact for the community.
In addition to being a form of social care, this program is also the company's effort to support community economic growth. The sacrificial animals distributed to the community were sourced from the livestock farm at the Petrokimia Gresik Experimental Garden (Buncop), as well as purchased from the company's fostered partner livestock farmers, so that this activity also helps improve the business and welfare of local livestock farmers.
"Through this program, Petrokimia Gresik hopes that the spirit of sharing and togetherness on the Idul Adha Eid can further strengthen the harmonious relationship between the company and the community," Daconi concluded.
