Petrokimia Gresik Receives Platinum Award, The Highest Score, At The IGA 2023 For Implementing Bef To Advance Indonesian Agriculture

Petrokimia Gresik, a leading agro-industrial solutions company and member of the Pupuk Indonesia holding, has been honored with the Platinum Award and has maintained the "Industry Leader" title at the Indonesia Quality Award (IQA) 2023. The award was symbolically received by Petrokimia Gresik's Finance and General Affairs Director, Robby Setiabudi Madjid, in Jakarta recently.

After receiving the award, Robby expressed that this recognition signifies Petrokimia Gresik's increasing optimization in implementing the Baldrige Excellence Framework (BEF). The BEF serves as a comprehensive performance measurement tool with international standards, and its implementation has a significant impact on performance improvement and global competitiveness.

"In the BEF assessment for the year 2023, Petrokimia Gresik achieved a score of 706. This score is the highest among the Pupuk Indonesia Group, or nine applicant companies. It is due to this achievement that Petrokimia Gresik has been awarded the Platinum Award, marking the company's first achievement since participating in excellent performance assessments," said Robby.

He also added that for the Band of Excellence Achievement category, Petrokimia Gresik successfully maintained the "Industry Leader" title, which has been attained since 2022. However, there was an increase in Petrokimia Gresik's assessment score this year compared to the previous year's score of 682. This 24-point increase also earned Petrokimia Gresik the Bronze Award.

"Petrokimia Gresik is the only company to bring home three awards in the event organized by the IQA Foundation," added Robby.

Furthermore, he explained that the implementation of the BEF framework is a crucial instrument for the company to advance Indonesian agriculture, maintain national food security, and support Pupuk Indonesia in becoming a global company. The application of BEF has positively impacted the company's performance, which improves every year, from achieving the best profit in history to increasing the number of innovations.

"Excellent performance is a fundamental need for companies to withstand various changes. One of Petrokimia Gresik's tangible efforts to bring about excellent performance in the company is through a myriad of innovations recognized at the national and international levels. One example is the Smart Precision Farming introduced by Petrokimia Gresik for the future of modern Indonesian agriculture," concluded Robby

The IQA Foundation was established in 2005 by the BUMN Executive Club (BEC) to encourage and facilitate organizational performance improvement through the application of the BEF framework owned by The National Institute of Standards & Technology (NIST). Since its establishment, the IQA Foundation has been the only organization in Indonesia licensed by NIST. As an appreciation for assessment results, the IQA Foundation organized the IQA 2023 event.
