Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustrial Solutions company and a member of the Pupuk Indonesia holding company, sent 200 travelers from Gresik to five different routes in East Java. The departures, part of the Pupuk Indonesia Group's "Safe Homecoming, Sharing Hope 2026" program, were carried out simultaneously online by the President Director of PT Pupuk Indonesia (Persero), Rahmad Pribadi, on Wednesday (March 18, 2026).
Rahmad stated that 1,559 travelers were sent home by Pupuk Indonesia Group from various regions, including Jakarta, Lhokseumawe, Palembang, Cikampek, Gresik, and Bontang. The participants were from the local community, including employees and their families.
"This is a concrete manifestation of our concern. The Pupuk Indonesia Group's existence is not solely about profit, but also has a noble vision: supporting national food security and providing benefits and blessings for the entire nation and the Indonesian people," Rahmad said.
Meanwhile, in Gresik, the departure was carried out directly by Petrokimia Gresik's President Director, Daconi Khotob. The travelers departed on five buses, traveling on five different routes: Malang-Blitar; Jombang-Nganjuk-Madiun; Lamongan-Babat-Tuban; Bojonegoro-Ngawi; and Kediri-Tulungagung.
"This program is a manifestation of the company's contribution to the surrounding community," said Daconi.
He explained that Petrokimia Gresik holds this free homecoming program annually. The number of travelers this year is the same as last year. He also hopes that Petrokimia Gresik will send even more free homecoming participants next year.
"Hopefully, next year we can send even more travelers, which is in line with our company's progress," Daconi concluded.
He added that Petrokimia Gresik, through this free homecoming program, wants to contribute to ensuring a safe, comfortable, and enjoyable homecoming. Furthermore, this program is also expected to help reduce congestion and the number of accidents during travel.
"We know that during the homecoming season, traffic congestion occurs in almost all areas. This often leads to accidents, especially since long journeys often make drivers tired and sleepy. With the many free homecoming programs, such as those offered by Petrokimia Gresik and Pupuk Indonesia Group, it is hoped that this will reduce the number of vehicles on the road and reduce the number of accidents," he concluded.
