To celebrate its 54th anniversary with the theme "Growing the Future," Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustrial Solutions company and member of the Pupuk Indonesia (Persero) holding company, held a PG Inspiration Day for approximately 1,300 students in Gresik Regency. Forty-nine Petrokimia Gresik employees served as speakers, teachers, and facilitators, sharing experiences, knowledge, and inspiration to encourage students to develop their potential, build competencies, and prepare for the world of work.

This year's PG Inspiration Day was held at two schools: Assa'adah Vocational High School on Tuesday (July 14, 2026) and Kedamean 1 Senior High School on Wednesday (July 15, 2026). The event was attended by 580 Assa'adah Vocational High School students and 720 Kedamean 1 Senior High School students, through a general seminar and classroom sessions divided into 18 classes.

The 49 Petrokimia Gresik employees come from various company functions, ranging from plant operations, research, laboratories, occupational safety and health (K3), human resource development, and corporate functions. Armed with professional experience in their respective fields, they shared insights into the industrial world, safety culture, self-development, and the competencies needed to face the world of work. The involvement of these volunteers demonstrates Petrokimia Gresik's commitment to bringing real-world industrial experience to the school environment.

Petrokimia Gresik's President Director, Daconi Khotob, stated that every child has an equal opportunity to achieve a better future. What is needed is not only knowledge, but also the courage to dream, a willingness to learn, and a passion for continuous development.

"Growing the Future" is not only about growing the agro-industrial sector, but also about developing human beings. Indonesia's future is determined by a young generation that possesses the competence, character, and courage to continue developing. Therefore, we want to be present and support them from their school days," said Daconi.

Through seminars and classroom sessions, students engaged in direct dialogue with Petrokimia Gresik personnel regarding self-development, Occupational Safety and Health (K3) culture, the world of work, and the importance of building competencies from an early age. Drawing on the speakers' real-world experiences in the industrial world, students gained insight into the skills needed in the workforce and the motivation to continue learning, adapting, and preparing for the future while still in school.

The principal of Assa'adah Vocational School, Ainur Rofiq, expressed his gratitude for the dedication of Petrokimia Gresik personnel who came to inspire the students at his school. He added that the materials and experiences presented provided broader insights for Assa'adah Vocational School students.

"Petrokimia Gresik has contributed significantly to Assa'adah Vocational School students. The current synergy between the industrial world, specifically Petrokimia Gresik, and educational institutions will foster students' motivation to continue developing," he said.

According to Daconi, education is a long-term investment in developing Indonesia. Therefore, the industrial sector has a responsibility to support education in preparing human resources who not only excel academically but also possess character, a safety culture, adaptability, and readiness for change.

"We're not just here to provide motivation, but also to share real-life experiences from the industrial world. We want students to understand the competencies needed, the challenges they will face, and how to prepare themselves to compete in the future. With a willingness to learn, discipline, and hard work, every child has an equal opportunity to achieve their dreams," added Daconi.

Petrokimia Gresik's commitment to supporting education is also demonstrated through various sustainable programs, one of which is the Petro Scholarship (BESTRO), which was introduced to students at this event. BESTRO provides opportunities for high-achieving students to continue their education at university. In addition to tuition assistance, scholarship recipients also receive leadership development, soft skills development, entrepreneurship, mental health training, and training to improve their competency and readiness to enter the workforce.

As a form of support for education, Petrokimia Gresik also provided educational funding to two schools. Both schools received a total of IDR 27 million to support improving the quality of learning.

"We embody the spirit of Growing the Future through various programs that open access to education and strengthen the capacity of the younger generation, including through BESTRO. We want Petrokimia Gresik to not only inspire, but also create opportunities for more young people to develop and achieve their dreams," concluded Daconi.

PG Inspiration Day is an annual event within the framework of Petrokimia Gresik's anniversary. In line with the 54th anniversary theme, "Growing the Future," this program is part of the company's commitment to preparing a young generation that excels, has character, embraces a safety culture, and is ready to face future challenges through collaboration between education and industry.
