Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustrial Solutions company and a member of the Pupuk Indonesia holding company, was named an "Exemplary Public Relations Institution" at the 2026 PR INDONESIA Awards (PRIA) in Yogyakarta recently for its consistent and optimal communications management. This superior performance was also demonstrated by six public relations awards at the national event.
The six awards included one Silver Winner through Petrokimia Gresik's Employee Influencer (EI) Squad program; and five Bronze Winners for the Petrokimia Media Award (PMA), corporate website management, GEMA Magazine Issues 383 and 378, and the Public Relations Department Category. The awards were accepted by Petrokimia Gresik's Vice President (VP) of Corporate Communications, Rama Yusron Harbiansyah, after receiving the awards on behalf of the Board of Directors.
Separately, Petrokimia Gresik's President Director, Daconi Khotob, expressed his appreciation for Petrokimia Gresik's communications performance, which has received recognition from stakeholders. He stated that the success of the corporate communications program demonstrates the collaboration of all the company's business units, enabling them to optimize communications within Petrokimia Gresik.
"PRIA is a benchmark and barometer of achievement for Public Relations (PR) practitioners in Indonesia. We hope this achievement will further motivate all Petrokimia Gresik employees to continue delivering strategic, adaptive, and impactful communication innovations to support the company's smooth operations and contribute to national food self-sufficiency," Daconi said.
Meanwhile, Rama explained that one of the flagship programs that earned Petrokimia Gresik an award at PRIA 2026 is the EI Squad. Within the EI Squad, selected employees are trained and equipped to become influencers who actively disseminate positive information about the company.
The EI Squad's role includes conveying strategic company information to internal work units, expanding communication reach to the public, and being part of efforts to mitigate and manage issues in the digital space.
"Social media is now a highly influential communication channel. Therefore, we optimize this potential through a structured and collaborative approach to effectively convey the company's message," he explained.
Rama further emphasized that communication plays a vital role in supporting business sustainability. Amidst the dynamics of the digital era, managing reputation and public trust requires an integrated, creative, and relevant strategy.
He added that all communication programs implemented by Petrokimia Gresik are designed to align with the company's business agenda and have a positive impact on stakeholders, both socially and economically, as well as on the development of the national agricultural sector.
