Asmono Wikan, CEO PR Indonesia, Commends Petrokimia Gresik's Exemplary Communication Performance Utilizing Digital Platforms

In a national-level recognition, Petrokimia Gresik, a leading Agroindustrial Solutions company under Pupuk Indonesia's umbrella, has once again received accolades. The company's publication performance, coupled with the Corporate Communication Department's efforts, secured three awards at The 9th Public Relation Indonesia Award (PRIA) 2024, held in Denpasar, Bali, on Thursday, March 7, 2024.

Among Petrokimia Gresik's communication programs honored at the event were the Employee Influencer (EI) Squad Petrokimia Gresik for the Digital Public Relation category and a profile video under the Owned Media category. Additionally, the Corporate Communication Department was appreciated in the Subsidiary BUMN category for its innovative initiatives.

"In this era of digitalization, communication plays a pivotal role for Petrokimia Gresik. Over the past few years, we have been striving to optimize digital platforms, particularly social media, as communication channels for the company. We are grateful that our efforts have been acknowledged by stakeholders," stated Adityo Wibowo, Secretary of Petrokimia Gresik.

Adit, as Adityo Wibowo is fondly called, highlighted the Employee Influencer (EI) Squad as one of the company's highly effective communication programs. This program focuses on developing selected employees into influencers actively involved in disseminating positive information about the company.

The EI Squad's responsibilities include distributing vital company information to internal units and serving as the company's trusted voice in projecting a positive image to a wider audience. Moreover, the EI Squad acts as a support system in mitigating and addressing any crisis affecting the company's reputation.

"Social media has become a vital platform with significant communication impact. Almost every smartphone user is active on social media, utilizing it for personal branding and information dissemination. We are leveraging this development to build a positive corporate image through the EI Squad," explained Adit.

Meanwhile, CEO of PR Indonesia Group, Asmono Wikan, praised Petrokimia Gresik for its strategic communication efforts. He emphasized that the Corporate Communication Department has implemented strategic communication management, resulting in positive impacts on society and the company's business.

"Effective and measured communication contributes significantly to a company's business. I am proud to commend and encourage the Corporate Communication team of Petrokimia Gresik to continue their outstanding work," he remarked.

In recognition of Petrokimia Gresik's outstanding performance, the company has been invited as a speaker at the PR Indonesia Workshop 2024 to inspire other PR practitioners nationwide.
