Petrokimia Gresik Extends Aid to Nearby Places of Worship and Social Institutions in Anticipation of Ramadan 1445H

In anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan 1445 H, Petrokimia Gresik, a member of the Pupuk Indonesia Agroindustrial Solutions company, provided assistance to 143 places of worship and social institutions around the company area. The aid, totaling Rp702.5 million, was symbolically handed over by the Finance and General Affairs Director of Petrokimia Gresik, Robby Setiabudi Madjid, to representatives in Gresik, East Java, on Tuesday (3/5/2024).

Robby expressed that this aid is routinely distributed every year and is part of the company's Corporate Social Responsibility and Environmental (CSRE) program. The aid in the "Ramadan Festivity 1445H" program is a token of appreciation from the company for the support of the surrounding community, which has ensured the smooth operation of the company in distributing subsidized fertilizers throughout Indonesia.

"We hope the joy of Ramadan can be felt by all Muslim communities around the company. Therefore, we provide this operational assistance so that the vibrancy and solemnity of Ramadan are truly felt in the places of worship and social institutions receiving the assistance," emphasized Robby.

The aid was provided to 15 mosques, with each mosque receiving assistance worth Rp7.5 million. Additionally, assistance was also given to 78 prayer rooms (each receiving Rp5 million), 23 Islamic boarding schools, and 27 orphanages, with assistance valued at Rp4 million per institution.

"We hope this Ramadan Festivity activity can help foster a spirit of worship so that we can become better individuals than before," he said.

Robby added that this activity is one of Petrokimia Gresik's commitments to grow and develop together with the community.

"The progress and growth of the company must be accompanied by the development and welfare of the surrounding community. This means that the company must be able to provide sustained positive impacts on the community," he said.

Regarding this assistance, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Indonesian Mosque Council in Gresik Regency, Zainal Abidin, revealed that Petrokimia Gresik is a company that is very concerned with mosque activities, and this assistance is a form of gratitude for the company's success. The Indonesian Mosque Council appreciates the organization of this activity, which is routinely carried out every year, and hopes that the reach of the benefits from this assistance can be expanded.
