Petrokimia Gresik Supports PMI Gresik with the Donation of a Hearse Vehicle

Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustry Solution company and a member of the Pupuk Indonesia, has provided assistance by donating a hearse vehicle to the community of Gresik through the Indonesian Red Cross (PMI) Gresik Regency. The donation was presented by Digna Jatiningsih, Director of Operations and Production of Petrokimia Gresik, on behalf of CEO Dwi Satriyo Annurogo, to the Regent of Gresik, Fandi Akhmad Yani, during the 78th Anniversary of PMI in Gresik, East Java, on Tuesday (9/26).

After the handover ceremony, Digna mentioned that PMI Gresik will establish a "24-Hour Post" in collaboration with the Regional Disaster Management Agency (BPBD) and the local Health Agency. To optimize this service, adequate infrastructure is needed, including a hearse vehicle.

"This donation marks a strengthening of synergy between Petrokimia Gresik, PMI, and the Gresik Regency Government. Petrokimia Gresik is part of Gresik Regency, and we are proud to collaborate with PMI in humanitarian efforts to bring benefits to the community," said Digna.

Currently, PMI Gresik has one hearse vehicle, but it needs refurbishment to enhance its Red Cross services, particularly in emergency disaster response for the people of Gresik.

The Regent of Gresik, Fandi Ahmad Yani, expressed gratitude to Petrokimia Gresik, which has always been a synergistic partner for the Gresik Regency Government, this time through the PMI Gresik program.

"We hope that this collaboration in helping each other can have a positive impact on the people of Gresik. Thank you for this hearse vehicle donation, as it will facilitate PMI in carrying out its duties," said the Regent of Gresik.

Meanwhile, the 24-Hour Post established by PMI in the PMI Gresik Regency office aims to address the potential occurrence of hydrometeorological disasters in the Gresik region due to extreme weather conditions. These disasters include droughts, floods, storms, wildfires, landslides, whirlwinds, cold waves, and heatwaves.

Achmad Nadlir, Chairman of PMI Gresik Regency, appreciated the support from partners for the success of PMI Gresik programs under the theme "Helping Wholeheartedly" for the people of Gresik, with special thanks to Petrokimia Gresik.

"Thank you for the assistance provided by Petrokimia Gresik. We believe that this donation will be very beneficial for the people of Gresik," he added.

Furthermore, Digna explained that along with the company's progress, Petrokimia Gresik will continue to enhance its contributions to the community of Gresik. In 2023, until August, the company has implemented a Community Development program for the people of Gresik, with a total realization of IDR 8.6 billion. This contribution is entirely allocated to fulfill social, economic, and environmental pillars in support of achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

"We are aware that Petrokimia Gresik's success in producing and distributing subsidized fertilizer and providing agroindustry solutions to various regions in Indonesia is inseparable from the support of the surrounding community.
