Hannover Messe 2023 Petrokimia Gresik's Digital Innovation Is Exhibited in the International Scene

Four Digital Innovations of Petrokimia Gresik, an Agroindustrial Solution company and holding member of the Pupuk Indonesia were exhibited at the international event, Hannover Messe (HM) 2023 on April 17-21, 2023 at the Hannover Fairground, Germany. The four innovations are Human Capital Development (HCDev), Petrokimia Gresik Port Information System (Petroport), Online Truck Scheduling System (Sistro), and Petro Balancing.

President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, Dwi Satriyo Annurogo said that it is the second year of Petrokimia Gresik's participation in Hannover Messe 2023. All innovations on display must pass curation, so the four digital applications of Petrokimia Gresik that got the opportunity to be exhibited are the best.

"This is proof that the digitalization of Petrokimia Gresik is not only able to provide added value for Petrokimia Gresik in carrying out its business operations. On this occasion, Petrokimia Gresik's innovation has received appreciation at the international level," said Dwi Satriyo.

HCDev is a digital administration platform that has been integrated with the Platform

Digital Learning Petrokimia Gresik, namely Enterprise University (EU), Virtual Reality (VR), Augmented Reality (AR) and 360 Plant Facility Learning. Virtual Reality Learning itself is an interactive training innovation through the use of virtual reality technology to provide a better level of understanding of the material by making participants feel located in real situations.

The purpose of developing Virtual Reality Learning is as one of the training facilities for new employees of Petrokimia Gresik who are undergoing the OJT (On Job Training) period.

Currently, Virtual Reality Learning has covered 18 machines at the NPK Plant consisting of 187 scenarios of maintenance work at the NPK Plant. The advantage obtained from the implementation of VR Learning is that it can imitate accidents during training which is certainly not desirable. Then, VR can also cut budgets because companies don't have to worry if employees make mistakes that result in damage to the machine.

There are more than 8,000 users who have used Virtual Reality Learning, who come from Internal Petrokimia Gresik, and externally (students and interns from more than 85 agencies education).

"With virtual reality learning, users can learn critical tools at any time without waiting for annual maintenance time. Of course, with minimal risk, "said Dwi Satriyo.

Second, Petroport is a web-based system and mobile application that has the functions of monitoring, recording, reporting, and determining decision recommendations digitally and automatically (automatic decision systems) which aims to improve the loading and unloading performance of Petrokimia Gresik Port.

Petroport has succeeded in providing added value to the company, namely by providing accurate and real-time information to all stakeholders, providing logistics cost savings, and performance optimization loading and unloading at the port.

Third, SISTRO is an online truck scheduling system (web-based application) by synchronizing truck arrival, loading capacity, and factory production capacity. Before SISTRO, all truck order processes to partners for fertilizer distribution to the Java-Bali Buffer Warehouse still used the manual method, namely by sending a Purchase Order (PO) via email and further follow-up by phone. Now with SISTRO, the fertilizer distribution process is faster and more well-organized.

Finally, Petro Balancing is an application created to simplify and shorten the balancing process time of rotating factory equipment. During this time the process of finding unbalancing conditions is done manually using graph paper. This application can replace the role of graph paper so that it is faster and more precise.

"Petrokimia Gresik is ready to carry out the duties and responsibilities mandated by the government, namely producing fertilizers according to assignment and ensuring their distribution. We continue to optimize this effort with digitalization which increasingly encourages more optimal results," concluded Dwi Satriyo.

President of the Republic of Indonesia, Joko Widodo, Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs, Airlangga Hartarto, Minister of Industry, Agus Gumiwang Kartasasmita, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Retno Marsudi, and Minister of SOEs, Erick Thohir. This event is one of the largest industrial exhibitions in the world and is a medium for competing technological advances that are attended by hundreds of companies from various countries in the world.
