The Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) signing between PT Petrokimia Gresik (PG) and Gresik District Attorney (Kejari) took place in Kemuning Room, floor 8, PG Headquarters on March 11th, 2019.
The MoU of cooperation in legal assistance of Civil and State Administration (TUN) was signed by PG Director of Finance, Human Resources, and General Affair, Dwi Ary Purnomo, and Head of Gresik District Attorney (Kajari), Pandu Pramoekartika. This event was also attended by PG Director of Technical and Development, Arif Fauzan.
This MoU was also a response to the signing of agreement between Deputy Attorney General of Civil and State Administration (Jamdatun) and Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company (PIHC), which had been held in Jakarta.
"This MoU is a commitment from PG to strengthen the implementation of Good Corporate Governance (GCG) in the company", Dwi Ary Purnomo said.
By this MoU signing, it is expected that legal problems which may appear, can be solved properly without disrupting the company's operations.
He said that PG is engaged in the field of industry and trade. Its main job is to support the National Food Security programme. Fulfilling Government's mandate to distribute subsidized fertilizers to farmers. Through the 31 owned factories, PG seeks to realize the mandate, as well as to do business transformation to reach destination as an Agro-industry Solution company.
According to Dwi Ary Purnomo, the law is complex and dynamic, therefore all PG personnel must update their development. With a good law understanding, PG employee can apply and obey the law more.
"Our coverage is all over Indonesia, there must be more of Petrokimia Gresik activities which are very much related to the law. That's why we need to update", he said.
Dwi Ary Purnomo hopes that Kajari Gresik and the team can guide and broaden the insights of PG employee, so they can better understand Civil and TUN laws, through socialization given with this MoU signing.
"We hope that Petrokimia Gresik and Kejari Gresik are solid and well cooperative, so that we can realize the Government's programme in the future much better", continued Dwi Ary Purnomo.
Kajari Gresik, Pandu Pramoekartika expressed his gratitude since PG entrust this collaboration by extending the MoU. He hoped that this MoU is followed up with the issuance of Special Power of Attorney (SKK).
"If there are obstacles related to civil and administrative problems, then we are very open to consultation in order to enforce the Government authority, in this case, BUMN", he said.
Beside, Pandu added, Kejari also has Supervising, Government Security and Central-Regional Development Team (TP4D) that can provide legal assistance related to the project. It is hoped that this collaboration will be more solid. Hartono
