Achieving Two Public Relations Awards 2019

PT Petrokimia Gresik (PG), a member of PT Pupuk Indonesia Holding Company won two awards at the same time in the "Anugerah Humas Indonesia (AHI) 2019" event which organized by Indonesian public relations, member of PR Indonesia group. The two awards were "Best Leader Supporting PR & Communications" which were awarded to President Director of PG, Rahmad Pribadi, also "Terpopuler di Media Online 2019 (The Most popular in Online Media 2019)" for a category of State-Owned Enterprises of Indonesia subsidiary non-Tbk. PG received these two prestigious awards because PG was considered capable of managing communication and public relations well.

Manager of PG Public Relations, Muhammad Ihwan F was deputizing the management of PG received the awards which was given by CEO of Indonesia Public Relations, Asmono Wikan, at Balaikota Tangerang, Friday (30/8/19).

Ihwan said that the President Director of PG has a concern and focus on corporate communication management and Public Relations. “The President Director strongly supports the role of Public Relations (PR) in the company,” Ihwan said.

Ihwan conveyed that according to the President Director of PG, communication is one of the important aspects in running the business. Especially, in the era of digital information like today, threats to the image and reputation could befall whoever, whenever and wherever.

“Therefore, the management of the communication aspect must be able to play the role which is more strategic. Moreover, at this time Petrokimia Gresik is doing business transformation become the solution for agroindustry. Communication and information must be able to be delivered well to the public," Ihwan said.

Ihwan added, one of the President Director’s messages in the midst of PR development put PR not only as the loudspeaker of the Directors. However, Public Relations give more value to the messages given even it became part of the corporation.

The number of awards received by Public Relations of PG this year is quite encouraging. Various acknowledgments from the public regarding the aspects of corporate communication will be the spirit to keep provides the best contribution for PG.

“These awards are not only as of the proof of good public relations performance results but also as the performance result and collaboration from all employees of PG,” Ihwan said.

AHI is a competition for government public relations performance in the Ministries, Institutions, Regional Governments, State owned-enterprise, and Regional oened-enterprise throughout Indonesia. AHI becomes the barometer of performance highest achievement of the Department / Bureau / Public Relations / Department of Communication and Information. The presence of this competition is expected to encourage the creation of strategic and contributory public relations for the positive reputation of all public institutions and State / Regional-owned companies.
