Petrokimia Gresik, a member of the Pupuk Indonesia Industrial Solutions group, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to utilize Petrokimia Gresik's Digital Learning as educational material for students in educational institutions under the Ministry of Industry (Kemenperin) of the Republic of Indonesia, as well as for the Diploma III Vocational Program. The collaboration was formalized through the signing ceremony led by Petrokimia Gresik's President Director, Dwi Satriyo Annurogo, and the Head of the Industry Human Resources Development Agency (BPSDMI) of Kemenperin, Masrokhan, in Surabaya recently.

Dwi Satriyo stated that this collaboration represents Petrokimia Gresik's active role in strengthening the company's involvement in creating excellent human resources in collaboration with the Ministry of Industry of the Republic of Indonesia. This initiative aims to prepare for the challenges posed by advancing technology, rapid market changes, and to support the acceleration of green industry implementation.

"This collaboration between Petrokimia Gresik and the Ministry of Industry in human resource development has been ongoing since 2018. Through this MoU, we intend to continue our participation in developing competencies in the chemical industry. This aligns with the company's commitment to advancing together with the community," emphasized Dwi Satriyo.

The MoU encompasses two collaboration models. Firstly, the utilization of Petrokimia Gresik's Digital Learning as educational material in educational institutions within the Kemenperin environment. Digital Learning features several beneficial components for learning activities, including the Enterprise University, which digitizes learning and provides a digital learning experience that involves collaboration, interaction, and exploration of all required competencies through Video Based Learning, Digital Handouts, online exams, assignments, and coaching.

This Digital Learning also incorporates a Virtual Reality platform, facilitating interactive training through the use of virtual reality technology to enhance understanding with real-life scenarios. Additionally, there is Augmented Reality, a technology that blends the real world with digital information to expand and clarify human understanding.

Lastly, Digital Learning is equipped with 360 Plant Facility Learning technology, allowing users to virtually study and visit the plant.

"Petrokimia Gresik becomes the first state-owned enterprise to use Virtual Reality in digital learning methods for both interns and employees," he added.

Secondly, through this MoU, Petrokimia Gresik will collaborate with BPSDMI to develop employee competencies through the Diploma III Vocational Program with partner campuses, Politeknik ATI Makassar and Politeknik APP Jakarta, under the auspices of BPSDMI Kemenperin.

"Petrokimia Gresik will continue to enhance its role in talent development in Indonesia, ensuring that our domestic workforce can compete in the global market," concluded Dwi Satriyo.

Earlier, the collaboration in human resource development between Petrokimia Gresik and the Ministry of Industry was conducted through three programs: the SMK Link & Match program with a total of 302 student participants, the internship program for SMK teachers with a total of 447 participants, and the equivalent of Diploma 1 Vocational internship program with a total of 313 student participants.
