Generosity in Ramadan: Petrokimia Gresik Donates Over Rp1.16 Billion to Local Community

Through the "Safari Ramadan 1445H" program, Petrokimia Gresik, a subsidiary of Pupuk Indonesia, an Agroindustrial Solutions company, shared the blessings of Ramadan by providing assistance to Quranic school teachers, mosque imams, orphans, micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs) around the company, and various other beneficiaries. This assistance, amounting to more than Rp1.16 billion, was symbolically handed over by the President Director of Pupuk Indonesia, Rahmad Pribadi, accompanied by the President Director of Petrokimia Gresik, Dwi Satriyo Annurogo, at the Nurul Jannah Mosque in Gresik, East Java, recently.

Rahmad stated that starting from this Ramadan, Pupuk Indonesia Group is conducting Safari Ramadan activities, rotating among five fertilizer subsidiaries of Pupuk Indonesia. This time it was held at Petrokimia Gresik, after previously being held at Pupuk Kujang Cikampek as a means of fostering relations between the company and the community.

"Petrokimia Gresik's performance is improving. As it approaches its 52nd anniversary, Petrokimia Gresik becomes a major pillar of food security through the provision of subsidized fertilizers, the allocation of which has been increased this year. Almost all NPK factory production capacities will be used for subsidized fertilizers. Through the good performance of subsidiaries, the performance of Pupuk Indonesia is also improving. Hopefully, through this interaction, the relationship between the company and the community will bring progress to the company," Rahmad emphasized.

Meanwhile, Dwi Satriyo, through the Safari Ramadan program, invited the entire community around the company to enliven this blessed month full of blessings. He also hoped that the activities during Safari Ramadan would enhance the harmonious relationship between the community and the company.

"The smooth operation of the company in providing Agroindustrial Solutions throughout Indonesia is inseparable from the support of the community. This activity is an expression of our gratitude because Petrokimia Gresik can continue to grow and develop as it is now," Dwi Satriyo added.

The activities began with the distribution of assistance and donations at the Nurul Jannah Mosque in Petrokimia Gresik. Some of the donations given included assistance for 100 orphans around the company (worth Rp30 million), assistance for 57 mosque imams (Rp85.5 million), 1,000 Quranic school teachers (Rp200 million), and assistance in the form of 250 Qurans for 40 mosques around the company (Rp6.4 million).

"With this assistance, we want to share happiness with our orphaned children. We also want to show appreciation to the mosque imams and Quranic school teachers who have guided and preserved spiritual values in the community," said Dwi Satriyo.
